My name is Louise Cormier and I am currently a senior at Columbia University in New York. My major is Urban Studies and my minor is Middle Eastern Studies. I am French, and I am part of a dual BA degreee between Sciences Po Paris and Columbia. I completed my two first years of Bachelor in France, at the campus specialized on the Middle East of Sciences Po Paris, in Menton.
Experience
In terms of tutoring strategies, going through French public schools exposed me when I was quite young to a wide diversity of students, some of whom I helped consistently in different topics. I received my "Scientific Baccalaureat" in 2011, with the "Very Well" distinction from the high school "Louis-Le-Grand" in Paris. I want to be a tutor because I have always learned a lot from tutoring experiences, as much as I taught and because I want to work outside of University. I am fascinated by how our brains can react differently to a certain lesson, reasoning, or method.I am always interested in how I could I make someone else understand what is clear to me. This is the basis of further exchange and communication in my sense. Hence, tutoring is really something I would like to do outside of University.
