My most recent experience, as a reading tutor to 6th grade students, was very successful. The students, who started at a 3rd grade reading level, increased by two grade levels during the time I worked with them. My experience working with students and families from a wide range of cultural backgrounds has sharply enhanced my communication and advocacy skills; in addition, I have acquired an exceptional ability to skillfully assess student needs and provide applicable services in a timely and efficient manner. Working with fourth grade special needs students was very rewarding. I worked individually with students to achieve set academic and social goals according to their Individualized Educational Programs. I provided a safe and nurtured environment for each student, which is essential to make progress and achieve productive results.
