PhD candidate in history at Princeton University (expected graduation: Spring 2021); master's degree received at Columbia University in Russian, Eurasian, and Eastern European studies; undergraduate studies completed at NYU with a major in Russian studies and a minor in Latin American studies. My research in interests primarily focus on ethnography, nationalism, conflicts, and literary historicism.
Experience
I am a PhD student in history at Princeton. I have conducted independent field research on regional politics at a number of think-tanks in Yerevan, Armenia. I have experience tutoring history, Spanish, Mandarin, and Russian. I have spent a significant amount of time working and traveling overseas. I speak Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, Portuguese, Italian, Armenian, Ukrainian, and basic Georgian. I tutor European and Latin American history, Russian, Spanish, Mandarin, and Russian literature. My qualifications: Qualified NYU College of Arts and Science Dean's List of Honors for the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 academic years; recipient of NYU CAS Slavic Award of Excellence in 2014; nominated Weiser Emerging Democracies Fellow by University of Michigan in 2014; nominated Eurasian Studies fellow by the George Washington University in 2014; granted Tatar language studies fellowship by Indiana University in 2014.
