I am a full-time tutor who would love to help you, your son, or your daughter with French or English this fall! I am French-English bilingual and an experienced tutor of French educated at the Middlebury College Ecole française MA program. Overseas, I spent a year at the Sorbonne-Paris I. I have experience tutoring all levels, including high school students and young children interested in second language acquisition. My areas of expertise are French and francophone civilization, francophone literature, French-English translation, and methodology. My studies have included dedicated training in standardized test preparation, including teaching to the 2015 French Advanced Placement Exams. I know all the challenges that come with learning a second language through my own study of Arabic, as well as the rewards. I can't wait to hear how I can best help you achieve success in French! In English, my extensive experience in communications has left me with the skills in exposition, reading comprehension, grammar, and argumentation critical to college and high school writing. As a writer for the Department of State, the International Rescue Committee, and Janus International Publishing, I've learned strategies of effective communication I would love to share with you. My areas of expertise in English are SAT skills, critical reading, persuasive essay writing, and proof-reading. I have experience with ESL students and those with learning disabilities.
