Tutoring: I tutored at the METROsquash program in Chicago, while obtaining my Master's degree at the University of Chicago. I worked with fifteen to thirty low-income students individually, mostly teaching biology and writing. I prepped middle school students for boarding school interviews and exams. I also assisted high school students with college applications. Lastly, I met with students in private to interview them about their emotional, social, and academic status. David Somers Cognitive Neuroscience Lab at Boston University (2012-2013): Ran functional magnetic resonance imagining scans of human subjects, and performed data analysis and interpretation. Mercator Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Research Lab at Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany (summer 2010): Trained rats in memory task and prepared and stained extracted brains for presence of proteins indicative of cell activity. Howard Eichenbaum Neuroscience Lab at Boston University (2010-2011): Trained rats and hand built electronic drives to record neuron cell activity in rat brains. Recorded and analyzed data.

Hobbies
I have a passion for learning and for teaching,which is why I hope to tutor, in addition to seeking a job teaching at a college in NYC. I believe that education is about more than school. It is a lifelong endeavor and a good teacher endows an individual with the skills necessary to teach herself/himself after class ends, as well as the ability to think critically, which applies to more than academic success. My hobbies include reading, writing, and drawing. I have always worked on graphite portraits and graphic novels from a young age.
