Experience

I am a NY Certified Childhood General Education and Special Education teacher. I am currently teaching 2nd Grade ICT as the Special Education Teacher. I have taught third grade, fourth grade, second grade, and first grade as a general and special education teacher. Tutoring children with special needs in all elementary subjects for 10 years. I am trained in Orton Gillingham PAF, Wilson's Fundations phonics program, and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). I have extensive experience working with children with academic struggles, autism, learning disabilities, and other special needs. I also have experience tutoring and teaching students to prepare them for NY State ELA, Math, and Science exams for third, fourth, and fifth grade.

Hobbies

I love to read and to share this love of reading with all of students through classroom instruction and tutoring. In my free time I love to watch sports, play basketball, and spend time outdoors. I have always loved to draw, come up with new craft ideas, listen to music, and play piano. I enjoy bringing this love of the arts into my classroom and as a tutor to build confidence and engage in new experiences. I also love to bake, cook, and try and make dishes from a variety of different cuisines.
