Education
I graduated from Tufts University in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Biology. I began teaching immediately after my college graduation as a Teach for America Corps Member in New York City. I received a master's degree in Adolescent Biology Education in 2012 from Fordham University.
Experience
I am currently in my fourth year as a 7th grade science teacher at a public school in New York City. As a teacher, I have learned the importance of differentiation - every student has a different learning style and it is important to teach to that style, building relationships, and developing well-structured lessons. I believe that all students are capable and I am willing to work my hardest to ensure that all of my students succeed. I took the MCAT in January of 2013 and applied to medical school in the 2013-2014 cycle. I am attending medical school in the fall at UCSF. I specialize in tutoring elementary, middle, or high school science, MCAT, SSAT, and executive functioning (organization).
