ExperienceI am a NYS Certified Adolescent 6-12 Teacher. I have worked with a variety of students in the classroom and one-on-one. I am creative, fun, patient, and caring!
I currently teach 6th grade science to five, thirty-student General and Special Education Classes. My school, M.S.88, is located in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Every day, I implement New York State Science standards through daily instruction and differentiation, leading students to ~150% growth in year 2011-2012 and ~179% growth in year 2012-2013.
I have tutored 6th grade students in ELA and Math for the past 3 years. I have also provided one-on-one academic support for native Spanish-speaking adolescents in Spanish grammar and mathematics in Quito, Ecuador. Additionally, In the 2009-10 school year, I tutored math and English to 5th graders at an elementary school in Detroit.

I participated in the Columbia University Earth Institute, TREES Program December 2012-July 2013. I Received $4,000 National Science Foundation grant for professional development, focused on environmental policy. There I designed an original multi-disciplinary curriculum for middle school students according to STEM principles.
I also participated in the Center for Climate Systems Research, NASA Climate Change Education Program in Summer 2013. I was selected by NASA/GISS to serve as a liaison between NASA and educators and to develop climate change curriculum.
