I've been a full-time tutor for high school and college students for eight years. While a graduate student I served as a teaching assistant for three courses in the Philosophy Department. I achieved a perfect score on the GRE quantitative section and scored within the 95th percentile on the verbal section. I also tutor advanced subjects not listed in the subject listings. The rate for tutoring advanced subjects is $120 per hour. The advanced subjects I'm able to tutor include symbolic logic, linear programming, abstract algebra, real analysis, complex analysis, topology, advanced logic, modal logic, computability, orders and lattices, non-classical logic, algorithms and data structures, automata theory, set theory, game theory, discrete math, combinatorics, measure theory and probability, functional and object-oriented programming in Java, Python, Scheme, Haskell, and JavaScript, PHP database querying, CSS, use of the Linux terminal, LaTeX, and R for statistics.

I produce open access educational materials. In my free time I like to learn new subjects, cook, hit up museums and theater, go to standup shows, and the occasional road trip. I also volunteer at a prison teaching Math and Computer Science to inmates through the Bard Prison Initiative. Through BPI inmates can earn a Bard undergraduate degree so that, upon release, they can obtain a good job and live a productive and stable life.
