Sigourney has had a passion for languages and teaching since she can remember and has travelled and worked overseas extensively. She speaks fluent English and French, in addition to some German and Portuguese. Sigourney originally began teaching French in Sydney, Australia at FTS, though has worked predominately as a language teacher in Australia and Europe, both privately and for the internationally recognised organisation, The Alliance Française.

The Little French Maison is a boutique, international language school, offering online French classes for individuals, private groups, and public groups in English. Our school is directed by a small group of teachers, offering classes and tuition for all ages, abilities, and levels. At the Little French Maison, we believe in Language for Life. Our success is thanks to the best, dedicated teachers, a high quality curriculum, and endless student support. Whether online or in person, our lessons take place in a friendly and comfortable environment, and we aim to make classes exciting, focussed, and accessible to everyone. Our Online Lessons - We offer three types of lessons to students: - Private individual classes or tuition for children and adults. - Private group classes or tuition for adults. - Public group classes for adults (in addition travel French, Medical French, and work French). Fees Fees start from $35/hour for conversation classes and $25/half hour for children's classes. Our private and public group classes are offered at a lower rate to individual lessons, being both economical and great for a lively class environment! Why study online? Convenience of time and place - study whenever you want, from wherever you want. Economical - online classes are cheaper than a formal classroom setting, and save time and money off travel. Documentation - all of your work and classroom activity is documented for your perusal after class. Never lose a note, worksheet, or assignment, as they’re all uploaded to our e-learning database. Meet other students and make friends from all over the world - we have students from Australia, Asia, The United States, and Europe! Accessibility - for those in remote areas or difficult to reach locations, where finding quality education may be a struggle. How it works 1. Enroll (providing contact details, and preferred lesson/time) and pay for fees online. 2. Receive your login details to access both the online classroom and e-learning database. Alternatively, you are welcome to study through skype. 3. You will receive your classword 24 hours prior to your scheduled lesson (which you can download or print) 4. Sign in to the online classroom 5 minutes before your lesson is to begin, where your teacher will meet you. 5. Turn in work for marking (to be returned for the subsequent lesson). Times Individual and Private group lessons can be made at any time that suits the student(s). Public group lessons run at regular intervals during the school year. If you have a suggested or preferred time, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to take it into consideration. Resources and Requirements All materials are included in your class costs, including copies of worksheets, exercises, and textbook PDF’s. As a student of The Little French Maison, you will also have access to our e-learning database, which houses a vast array of videos, audio files, and supporting documents for all learners.
