I enjoy tutoring on some of my spare time because it is a fun and rewarding way to share the knowledge I've gained and pass it on the next generation of scientists and engineers. Seeing students perform commensurate with their potential is also a vicarious thrill that I do not find anywhere else.
HobbiesI play the piano and enjoy listening to lectures about history and reading classics. I also enjoy spending time with my classmates in all the places Manhattan has to offer. I played sports in high school and like to play pick-up games whenever possible. I am originally from California so I'm easy going and know how to appreciate the outdoors as well, so hiking and biking are near and dear to my heart!

Marc has been tutoring me for almost a year now for both my honors precalculus class and my honors chemistry class. Marc is a great tutor because of his enthusiastic personality, vast amount of mathematical/scientific knowledge, and ability to explain complex subject matter. Often times I have presented Marc with a seemingly impossible precalculus problem and he can solve and explain it without looking up any formulas or identities on the internet. This made him stand out from the other tutors I have worked with; he keeps sessions focused, engaging, and efficient. I highly recommend Marc to anyone who is looking for a tutor to help them in their most difficult classes.
Marc tutored me in AP Physics and AP Calculus and helped me a lot. He was patient with me and was able to explain things in different ways which helped me when I didn't understand concepts on the first try. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to anyone I know.
Marc has been able to tutor my daughter in difficult subjects like AP Chem and and Algebra II/Trig without any difficulty. I am using him again this year for my other daughter and expect nothing but the same superior results. Highly recommended.
Excellent Tutor: Marc really knows his stuff, and my son both likes and respects him. He's professional, yet still connects with kids on their terms. I have used several others tutors listed on this site and he has been the best by far. Subjects: Pre-Calculus Honors, AP Chemistry, and Physics
Marc tutored me for my Pre Calculus class. Without him, I wouldn't have been able to understand Pre Calc at all! He was always patient and taught me in ways I can understand. On top of this, Marc is a genius. He knew how to solve and explain every problem without looking anything up. I was always amazed to see that he remembered every formula. I would recommend Marc to anyone that needed help in any kind of science or math.
