Experience

Currently, I'm a doctoral student, adjunct lecturer, and research assistant at the Developmental Neurolinguistics Lab at the City University of New York. I've taught grammar, composition, and literature classes for both native English speakers and non-native English speakers, as well as linguistics and bilingualism. I want to be a tutor because I want to be able to focus on the needs of one student at a time. In the classroom, one has to attend to everyone's needs as best as possible. As a tutor, one can tailor lessons to the needs of the individual for the best results. Personally, I'm a political news junkie, devotee of yoga and a gym addict, follower of science news, especially neuroscience, and would-be short fiction writer (if I didn't have so much academic writing to do already).
