Experience
I have been tutoring students in upper elementary, middle and high school for the past two years. Working with children has taught me that patience and empathy are the key to successful tutoring. As a tutor, I strive to share my passion for the Spanish language with my students by adapting my teaching methodology to the student's learning style. As the After-School Coordinator in an elementary school in New York City, I currently develop and edit lesson plans in ELA, math and socio-emotional learning to include visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning styles. My teaching style is focused on creating a positive and encouraging learning environment for my students, so that they can feel at ease asking questions and making mistakes. I would like for my students to feel like they have gained or polished a specific skill at the end of each session.
