Experience
Why choose me as a tutor? I not only have years of experience working with children and a background in tutoring, but I am also currently a college student. This means I will be able to teach in a way that is relatable because I know what it's like to be a student. I have taken the subjects for which I am available to tutor during my career as a student, so I know what it's like to learn these subjects and am aware of various methods for understanding the material. As a rising senior at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, I am designing my interdisciplinary major by integrating neuroscience, philosophy, and psychology to develop a comprehensive and global understanding of child and adolescent mental health. In my studies, I am very interested in how people learn and how education can be protective against negative life events, which makes me uniquely passionate about tutoring, as I believe that education can benefit students in many aspects of their lives and wellbeing. And because every person learns in a different way, I will quickly and effectively identify exactly how I will approach the material so that my services will be tailored to each student. In addition to all of this, I am a very friendly, non-intimidating person, and I have a true excitement for teaching and helping people. Thank you for reading through my profile! If you have any questions or would like a copy of my resume or CV, please message me.
