Experience
I recently graduated from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. I majored in English with an emphasis on Creative Writing. I wrote a thesis my senior year, which was a Creative Non-Fiction piece on the effects of loss and grief on memory. During my sophomore, junior, and senior years at Kenyon, I worked as a tutor at the Kenyon College Writing Center. For this position, I reviewed and proofread analytical and creative papers brought in by peers. I gave comments and criticims in one-on-one consultations. I currently work at Bloomsbury Children's Books. I have also worked as an Editorial Intern for Holiday House, an independent children's book publisher, and as a Student Associate for the nationally-acclaimed literary journal, The Kenyon Review. All of these positions have required me to do a great deal of copyediting and proofreading, sharpening my critical editing skills.
