I have tutored people in my community in pre-algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. I have tutored students all through high school, and for my Freshmen year I was also an education major. I have taken several education courses that give me the skills to tutor and teach effectively. I am patient and I know how to explain concepts in several different ways. I know how to explain math with words, and not just use numbers and examples to show how to do different problems. I have always been a very visual learner, and when I was taught all the material I was shown the material in a very visual way. I always demanded to understand each detail of a problem and I now have the ability to give over the information in that way.

Hobbies
Math has not always been my favorite subject, but through hard work I have become very passionate about math. Because in the beginning of my math career I needed help, I have the patience that I know is needed in a tutoring session. I have been on the other side of the book and I therefore know how to explain the concepts in different ways to help you understand the abstract ideas that are so common in math. My education courses have also helped me in this respect; they taught me how to recognize different types of learners and how to teach to appeal to all the different student types. I hope you will give me an opportunity to help your son or daughter discover incredible ideas in math that may be at first difficult to see.
