Jonathan W.
Private tutor in New York, NY
Education
I graduated from Columbia Law School with my J.D. in 2010. Before that, I attended the University of California, San Diego, graduating with degrees in Political Science (B.A.) and Management Science (B.S. w/ Honors). I have passed the New York State bar exam and am currently a member of the bar in good standing.
Experience
I scored 175 (99th percentile) on my LSAT, and have several years of experience tutoring LSAT in both individual and classroom settings, including teaching for a major commercial test prep company. I started tutoring independently because I felt that I was being constrained by the curriculum I was being asked to teach, and did not like the focus on shortcuts and quick-fixes. Currently, I am the senior instructor for PreProBono and a featured instructor on 7Sage's online LSAT course. My emphasis is on the fundamentals - if you understand why things are the way they are, you'll be able to handle anything the LSAT throws at you. I demand a lot from my students, but I get results. I tutor only the LSAT so that I can provide the best, most in-depth service to my students. Tutoring is available live in Manhattan, or worldwide via video chat.
