-I currently teach Writing Essentials and Research & Analysis at a New York college. I have formerly taught writing and composition at Florida State University, where I was nominated for a first-year teaching award. -I also work in a university reading/writing center as a tutor. I have worked with students in every discipline and writing level, and I am confident that each one of them left our conference with an improved draft of their paper as well as new writing strategies for future use. -At the end of every semester, my university had students evaluate their instructors. I always received exceptionally positive feedback, but my favorite note from a student was, "Very relaxed and fun, but was still very much a teacher." -I have taken classes in the theory of rhetoric and composition, and know the whys and hows of what I teach. -I have taught both speech writing and delivery to high school students.
