Education
I graduated from Brandeis University summa cum laude, with highest honors in sociology. My senior thesis was one of three selected out of the entire senior class for a prestigious award which recognized the strength of my research. In addition to my sociology major, I minored in Spanish language and Literature, and I earned my teaching certification through Brandeis' education program. I was inducted to the Phi Beta Kappa honors society in my junior year.
Experience
As a student teacher, I constantly provided one-on-one, individualized instruction to students in writing, math, and literacy. I understand how to differentiate instruction to meet the unique needs of each student. I find it very gratifying to help students succeed- I still remember the pride I felt as a camp counselor one particular summer, when I gave a child the confidence to act on stage and reach his full potential.
