Education
I graduated from Princeton University with honors (cum laude) from the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. After graduation, I completed a post-baccalaureate Health Careers Program at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. I will be starting at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons this fall.
Experience
Princeton University and Harvard grad. I have been tutoring students for over 10 years in subjects including SAT/ACT prep, math, biology, study skills, organic chemistry and the college application process. I also taught as a Teaching Fellow for Organic Chemistry at Harvard University and worked as a Harvard Academic Tutor for the last couple of years. All of my students have seen drastic improvements in their grades and/or standardized testing scores. I am willing to provide my high school and college level GPA in addition to ACT and SAT scores to those interested. I am also willing to work with students on college application essays. As a person who thrives on intellectual stimulation, I love nothing more than sharing my interests in learning with others. I become personally invested in the success of all of my students and thoroughly enjoy the satisfaction my students express upon mastery of a subject. I recognize that each student is unique and my priority is to understand both a student's strengths and weaknesses and to utilize their strengths to overcome any challenges posed by the material. I am a very creative person and I am not afraid to think outside the box to present the material in new ways. My schedule is flexible and I am willing to meet you at a convenient location (e.g. public library, coffee house).
