Private tutor in New York, NY
Education
Hi, I'm Mytra! I graduated from Columbia University in 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Premedical Sciences. I was on the Dean's List from Fall 2009 - Spring 2013 and graduated with a GPA of 3.8. I will be attending medical school starting in the fall of 2014.
Experience
Tutoring: I have successfully prepared students for many standardized tests, including the SAT, ACT, SSAT, and PSAT. My SAT score is in the 99th percentile. I feel that standardized tests can be mastered by all students if they have the proper training and attitude! Employment: Research Assistant at Weill Cornell Medical College, June 2013-present. Extracurricular activities: New York Cares Volunteer (present). Research Intern at Columbia Medical Center (2011-2013). Campus Coordinator of Health Leads at Harlem Hospital (2009-2013). Intern, interviewer, and tour guide for the Columbia University Office of Undergraduate Admissions (2009-2013). Co-President of the Columbia Iranian Students Association (2009-2013). I love tutoring because I enjoy working with young people. I like getting to know my students and seeing them succeed and achieve their goals. I am a very motivated person and will put in the necessary time and effort to help all of my students do their best. I have taken many literature, philosophy, and expository writing courses. I have also taken college level biology and chemistry classes. I am very comfortable writing and reading in Spanish. I would love to tutor students in any of these subjects.
