I am a rising sophomore at New York University pursuing a psychology major.
Experience
I have tutored middle school and high school students in math and writing for regular classes as well as for SAT prep. SAT Score: 2200 (out of 2400) Breakdown: Reading: 680 Math 720 Writing: 800 I love helping other students realize that they can do so much more than they believe is actually possible. I sympathize with the anxiety that comes along with SAT prep and academic struggle. I went through the SAT process not too long ago myself. My style does not revolve around using complicated terms and techniques; I like explaining things in very simple terms and drawing things out step by step. I have a high school Latin background, and while I do not tutor in Latin, my knowledge of the subject really helps me have a strong grammatical background. I am a huge grammar freak. In fact, I am currently in a grammatical analysis class here at NYU--even though it does not pertain to my major at all. I am an accomplished athlete and academic both in and out of school, and I would be more than happy to provide my full résumé to you if you would like.

Hobbies
Sports are big with me. I am an avid Yankees and Giants fan, and I actually know about baseball and football. I don't just pretend to like the teams. I'm intense about it. I play pretty much any sport there is, and I love it. My main focus is softball, but I also have been a competitive figure skater since I was about 6 years old.
