ExperienceI am currently the Career and Technical Education Department Chairperson at an early college High School for Engineering, Architecture and Technology in Brooklyn, NY. Prior to that I taught science to students specifically on the autism spectrum.
The courses that I have taught are Science 5-9, Regents Earth Science. I am certified through PLTW Introduction to Engineering Design in which we use Autodesk Inventor, Makerware for 3D Printing, Laser Cutting and CNC machining (Shopbot) in which we use AutoCAD and VCarve. I have also coached FTC robotics and am familiar with Raspberry Pi and Arduino Micorcontrollers programming.
HobbiesI have played D-1 college soccer at Towson University, hockey and I play guitar. I have two daughters of my own and I pride myself on building relationships with my students. I am a patience instructor that can relate to my students, make learning fun and will focus on differentiating instruction to meet their needs and level of engagement.
