Experience

GRE Verbal: 600 Quantitative: 800 AW: 3.5 I am very interested in international communication. When I was in college, I co-founded a Students International Cultural Intercommunicational Association. One of the project that I was in charge of to design an Oral Chinese Class for International students on campus. Our aim was to provide them an opportunity to learn some of the most useful Chinese in a faster and more relaxing way. At Stanford, I actively volunteered in Stanford China Care Club and helped Chinese adoptees with their language practice and many other cultural activities. Language is only a tool. What is more important is the culture conveyed in it. I'd love to tutor Chinese because I think it is a way of cultural exchange. It could be a reciprocal experience for both the tutor and student. Otherwise, since I am very interested in education related careers and am seeking opportunities to develop and utilize my skills and qualifications, I think by tutoring I will be able to gain more experience in the field, preparing me better for my future career. I'm a native Chinese who is also proficient in English. I'm an expert in my language so no worries~
