Experience

I have regularly tutored college students, helping them secure higher grades in their chemistry classes or prepare for their MCAT exams. I have also worked in collaboration with the Disabilities Support Services of SUNY at Stony Brook, NY, helping students who were struggling with various issues (i.e., ADHD, other learning disabilities, etc.), to cope, regain confidence, and succeed in their courses. Many believe that Organic Chemistry is only a matter of memorization. I disagree. I think that organic chemistry is about first understanding and mastering a set of basic fundamental rules, which are often overlooked. This basic “tool-box” can be quickly taught. It is absolutely essential to succeed in this discipline and help efficiently address challenging and unfamiliar problem sets of organic chemistry. Chemistry, especially organic chemistry, has been a passion of mine for many years and it only grew stronger with experience. There is nothing more fulfilling to me than communicating this passion and helping students thrive while taking their courses and beyond.
