I'm currently a student teacher at a public school in TriBeCa, working on finishing my Master's in Education. I have extensive classroom experience with kindergarten, second grade and fifth grade, as well as limited classroom experience with third and fourth grades. In the past, I've tutored on a private basis, as well as for professional organizations for students of all ages, with special attention to college-prep for students in the upper grade levels. Additionally, before attending graduate school, I held a senior position in editorial advertising and marketing for a top American fashion house in L.A.

Hobbies
More than anything, I love learning new things. Because I have a huge appetite for knowledge, and am endlessly curious, my hobbies and interests are constantly growing. Anything that allows me to express myself creatively and challenge my mind and imagination tends to have a lasting effect. Reading, writing, drawing, painting, photography and dancing have been life-long passions of mine. Languages are topping my list currently, as I'm bit-by-bit teaching myself Spanish, Arabic and Norwegian. I also enjoy cooking and baking, two skills that are quickly improving! Overall, I take pleasure in simple things - friends, family, baby animals - and tend to be a very easy-going, up-beat young lady. I like to have fun, but know when it's time to get serious. Because of this, my welcoming demeanor encourages kids to be themselves and take part in the joy of learning.
