I have a bachelor's degree from Sonoma State University, and I am currently working toward a master's degree in Biochemistry at San Francisco State University. I am passionate about biology and chemistry, and I love spending my free time teaching science. I want to be a positive influence for improving scientific literacy, so I work hard to provide competent tutoring to all ages of students.My approach to tutoring is personalized and has proven very successful. I focus on discovering each student's learning style, such as visual learning or interactive and sensory learning, and then adapting my teaching methods to use the most effective type of presentation for the student. The result is that the student masters the core concepts and can continue to build on this foundation for further learning, without needing my assistance anymore. As your tutor, I intend to find out where your knowledge is lacking and fill in the gaps. I strive to do this in the way that works best to meet your individual needs.When I am not studying or teaching science, you will probably find me reading, hiking, or cooking.
