Education
I graduated from the Brearley School in June 2020. In high school, I graduated at the top of my class and had a GPA of 4.0. I also attended the Mountain School of Milton Academy in the fall of junior year. I was accepted into Yale University for the Class of 2024 but am deferring matriculation to take a Gap Year (my expected graduation is now May 2025). During my gap year, I have a fellowship at PEN America in their Prison and Justice Writing Program. When I attend University, I am planning on majoring in Ethics, Policy, and Economics.
Experience
I have previous tutoring experience at the Bloomingdale Family Program (grades K-3) and at the East Harlem School. I received an SAT score of 1600 and was also a National Merit Scholar Finalist. I want to be a tutor because I have a love of learning and want to share this passion with others. I also love helping others academically and feel as though I can explain material well. Upon graduating high school, I received both the Math Prize and the French Prize. I have taken various History courses (including World History, US History, History of China and Japan, and Modern Latin America) and English courses (American Literature Survey Course, Middle English Literature, and James Baldwin/Virginia Woolf). Though my school does not offer AP courses, I took the AP US History, the AP BC Calculus, and the AP English Lit Tests; I received 5's on all three tests. Additionally, I have taken French for 8 years and Latin for 3. In the sciences, I have studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Studies. I have also completed BC Calculus and, most recently, Linear Algebra.

Hobbies
Aside from academics, I have a great passion for being outdoors and being active. I have played soccer since I was 5 years old, both for club and for school. I absolutely love running, hiking, biking, and exploring. I also have a great passion for music, specifically for piano. Like with soccer, I have taken piano lessons since I was very young. I have done individual lessons, as well as music theory and chamber study. I absolutely love working with others and am comfortable with people of all ages.
