Hi, my name is Vida. I am originally from California, but I currently reside in Houston, Texas. Before being stationed to teach in Texas through the America Corps, I earned a Bachelor of English Literature at the University of California. Here in Texas, I became certified to teach and have several years of experience under my belt. I have some extra time, so I enjoy sharing my knowledge through tutoring. I am available to help in math, science, literature, and writing. I taught math and science in the Corps, but my real loves are literature and writing. All of my pupils in the fifth-grade class I taught passed their TAKS. Forty-seven percent of them earned commended status. I am confident that I can help you or your child achieve academic success! I take pride in the fact that my clients have gone on to become very successful in writing and literature. I have experience with a broad range of students from first grade through senior year. I strive to show my students that working hard and remaining determined pays off! If you are looking for a tutor that will work hard to get you or your child the grade they deserve, I am happy to help! When I am not working, you can find me reading, writing, sewing, painting, rock climbing, singing, and doing volunteer work. I love trying new things!
