Private tutor in New York, NY

Education

Long Island University-Brooklyn Campus - Bachelors, Biochemistry

Experience

I am currently a resident of Vista, California although I lived in the Big Apple for most of my adolescence. I have my Bachelor of Science degree from the Long Island University, with a focus of Biochemistry. Later, upon traveling to France, I pursued and obtained a culinary degree and also added a language to my repertoire. During my time in New York City, I was a tutor for two years. I have taught in a personal setting and a classroom setting and am comfortable with both settings. My interests lie in cooking, reading, traveling, and sports. The subjects I am capable of tutoring are Algebra 1, AP French, AP Spanish, first through fifth grade subjects, middle school Math, and homework support. I strive to make the challenges of learning fun and since my students are my priority, combining patience and every approach to help them understand the subject at hand. This is how I am distinct from other tutors and how I have a high success rate. I take pride in my students and their achievements and look forward to teaching them through language, an essential tool to all avenues of learning.
