I'm Svetla, a professional violinist from Bulgaria. I traveled to the United States and attended school at the University of Missouri Kansas City, and received my doctoral degree in Violin Performance from the Bulgarian Conservatory of Music. I've played with many orchestras and chamber groups, and now I pass on my knowledge to budding artists. I have substantial experience giving aspiring musicians the building blocks to start working their way towards mastery, and helping more advanced players reach the next level. Past playing experience is not a requirement. I'm happy to teach at a wide range of levels, including beginners, and I've worked with musicians of all ages and stages in their musical career. While I work largely with younger players, I take on adults as well. Again, amateurs are more than welcome to request tutoring.All in all, I've spent more than 10 years tutoring and I can honestly say I love the process. My music is very important to me, but outside of art I also enjoy yoga or just finding the right book to pass the time with. I'm also very interested in nature and animals, though birds are my favorite. I look forward to seeing future violinists discover their love for music.
