Experience

Experienced tutor of biology, chemistry, Spanish, Chinese, and writing. After college, I won a Fulbright to teach English in rural Taiwan for a year. Throughout my undergraduate years, I tutored students in English, Art History, and philosophy. Currently, I'm preparing to apply to medical schools, and I tutor biology and general chemistry from the high school to the undergraduate level. I speak Spanish to a near-native fluency, and have an advanced level in Mandarin Chinese, and I tutor those subjects as well. In addition, I have worked as an editor at a major U.S. think tank, and I am happy to work on effective, efficient, and convincing writing. Currently, I do clinical research in emergency medicine at a nearby medical school, and I also work side-by-side with physicians, translating conversations with patients in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese and assisting them with their duties, as I prepare to apply to medical school.
