When teaching I make good use of the Socratic method because I understand that teaching is not simply about passing on knowledge or facts, but about helping a student discover ideas and/or information on their own. Borrowing the Socrates metaphor, I view teachers as intellectual midwives who don't actually pass down information but engage students in exciting dialogue that allows them to come to conclusions on their own. My main strength is getting students interested in the material.
