I believe a good tutor is someone who has communication skills, good knowledge of subject matter, and ability to build rapport with students and to see the world through their eyes. My goal as a tutor is to help students better understand material, but also to learn how to learn. I'm adept at identifying learning styles, and I have the experience to know what teaching techniques work well for different types of students. I also a great listener and very patient, and I can adjust my approach on-the-fly whenever needed. I can tutor students in geometry, calculus, differential equations, algebra, chemistry, statistics, middle school math, elementary school math, discrete math, multivariable calculus, writing, English, study skills, environmental science, test preparation, and others. When I have spare time, I like to play Mario Kart, watch movies, hike, play the piano, and play tennis.
