Experience

I went to Tennessee State University to earn my bachelor's degree in biology. I then went on to the University of Alabama at Birmingham for my master of public health degree. I'm now seeking a master of fine arts degree in design for social innovation. I have a decade of tutoring experience, and during that time I've helped high school level and middle school level students with science subjects, math subjects, and preparation for the ACT. I enjoy connecting with each student I work with so that I understand where they are facing challenges and what their goals are. It's very rewarding to help students reach the moment were they understand a subject. I'm comfortable tutoring algebra, pre-algebra, differential equations, chemistry, elementary math, middle school math, biology, public health, biochemistry, GED preparation, SAT math preparation, and more. In my spare time, I enjoy music, reading, movies, and travel.
