I'm a tenth-grade high school teacher at a Columbia school who graduated from the University of Missouri. As a student, I tutored and mentored athletes through the Mizzou Athletic Center. I worked one-on-one with students on various social studies topics, preparing them for exams and improving their understanding of the material. Working alongside my fellow students to further their academic career inspired me to continue educating others today. As a high school teacher, I work in AP psychology and world history subjects, as well as serve as the AP study hall supervisor. I work one-on-one with students in classes that are entirely devoted to ACT and SAT test prep. I also teach personal finance during the summer months. As a tutor, I work with each student to identify their problem areas and develop a plan to conquer them. I aim to make each session engaging and creative through unique activities and materials. I encourage students to ask questions as they come up to prevent confusion over the subject. I spend much of my free time tutoring, but when I'm not educating others, I enjoy spending time outdoors on hikes or running. I also enjoy watching movies and TV shows, reading, and traveling.
