Experience

I graduated from Colorado State University with my bachelor's degree in biology, along with a masters in biomedical sciences. From there, I was accepted into Kansas City University's medical school program. I began residency training in 2012 for emergency medicine. I believe education is invaluable and strive to continuously extend my knowledge. I deeply enjoy tutoring as it allows me to support future intellects in their academic goals. Much of my experience as a teacher is in elementary math and reading subjects, though I have worked with anatomy students at high school, medical school, graduate, and undergraduate levels. I am also knowledgeable in microbiology, neuroscience, physiology, and pharmacology, among other subject areas. As a tutor, I align my goals with my student's, working hard to engage them with the material and improve their understanding of it. I patiently work at their natural learning rate to allow them ample time to grasp the concepts. Each session is custom-tailored to suit the student's learning style, skill level, and interests. In my free time, I enjoy learning as much as possible about international and emergency medicine. I travel frequently, as well as explore the Rocky Mountains and attend equestrian events.
