I enjoy working with students to help them identify their optimal learning and studying techniques. As a student, I had difficulty learning math, and I enjoy helping others figure out how they learn best to overcome these kinds of obstacles. I believe that if students are able to identify and take advantage of their learning style, they can be successful, self-sufficient, lifelong learners. My specialties are history and reading, but I also tutor students in biology, social studies, writing, English grammar, essays, psychology, government and politics, test preparation, and more. In my spare time, I like to read, practice photography, refinish furniture, do interior design, travel, cook, and play with my dogs.
