Experience
I have experience working with pupils of all ages, from elementary to high school. I can tutor in numerous courses, including English writing, Spanish, and test prep. No matter what I am teaching and who I am teaching it too, I strive to bring a sense of purpose and process to each session, making lesson plans to enhance course material. I want my pupils to leave each session understanding the material at hand, not only the individual problems we work on, but to be able to apply it to future learning. I have a Bachelor of Journalism and a Master of Journalism, both from Northwestern University. My minor was in Spanish. As I was studying, I did a semester abroad in Madrid, Spain, where I attended Madrid's top university. I took higher-level literature and history classes. I currently work at Trade Magazine, writing real estate information. I believe that my experience academically and professionally gives me the upper hand at being a tutor. When I am not teaching, you can find me exploring New York City, baking, and reading. I also enjoy participating in and training for triathlons.
