Experience
I'm a tutor who is based out of New York City. I'm a graduate from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where I received my bachelor's of science degree in math as well as a minor in physics. Now, I work as a software developer in Manhattan. However, I've always been extremely passionate about teaching. In fact, I hope to one day continue my education and get a PhD in programming to become a professor of computer science. As my background might indicate, I'm extremely passionate about the fields of math and programming. I love sharing this passion with my students, and helping them develop their own interest in these very important fields. When I first begin working with a student, I strive to understand how they learn best. I also want to figure out what their specific strengths and weaknesses are in the subject we are working on. Once I gather this information, I'm able to use it to develop an individualized lesson plan that takes that students weaknesses and interests into account. I try to incorporate material that keeps my students engaged as I believe that learning should be a fun process. I like to break down complex ideas that a student may be struggling with into bite-sized pieces of information, that are more easily digestible.
