I completed my undergraduate coursework at New York University. I attended CUNY City College to acquire my masters in education to prepare for my career as an educator. I've gained experience in teaching classrooms, as well as providing one-on-one education. For the past decade, I have worked hard to tutor and teach students in Miami and New York City metro areas. Overtime, I have developed a solid understanding of different learning styles and the value of a solid educational foundation. I love educating others in a variety of subjects, such as ESL/ELL, psychology, theatre, history, and art. I am skilled in preparing students for the HSPT and other tests. When tutoring one-on-one, I work with the student to determine what tools and strategies will be the most engaging for the individual. I factor in strengths and weaknesses, aptitude level, and learning personality to develop a flexible learning plan. I often bring music and art into play while teaching lessons. When learning is fun, students tend to learn better. I believe patience and understanding are invaluable to the learning process, as well as being able to listen to a student's question. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy singing and dancing, as well as walking dogs.
