I'm a native Swiss and grew up in the German part of Switzerland, close to Zurich. I received my bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences and during my studies I've lived in England for 3 months as well as in Spain for 6 months as an Erasmus exchange program student. Thanks to my own experience in learning new languages, I can really relate to the challenges that learning a new language brings! While at college, I tutored younger kids in many different subjects. After graduation and during my university studies, I worked as an English and Sports teacher at a High-School in Switzerland for one year. Seven years ago I moved to New York City and I'm currently working as a German Tutor, Pilates and Yoga teacher as well as a Babysitter/Nanny. I'm very collaborative and patient and I use these qualities as I tutor as well. I always strive to empower my students to be able to find the answers for themselves and I also make it fun, entertaining and creative for them to learn and find their own ways to learn and understand the topics. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy dancing, Yoga, traveling, reading, the outdoors, and meeting friends.
