Private tutor in New York, NY
Education
Coming from Europe with a basic understanding of the English language, managing to graduate with honors from NYU and attend Yale University, I know that success comes from hard work and dedication. Writing and literature have been lifelong friends, and my dedication to them have proven successful in and out of the academic setting. Helping students (of all ages) and adults with writing, editing, organizing ideas, as well as writing personal statements for college and graduate school admissions for years have been of great personal satisfaction, and a means through which I could impart forwards the knowledge I have been given. While in university, I also facilitated writing and reading groups and enjoyed seeing a student’s hard work reflect his/her grades. I take great joy in being a part of a student’s success story!
Experience
I specialize in English, writing, editing, proofreading, grammar, and literary analysis. Whether you are working on a project, improving your writing skills, need help proofreading, etc., one of my goals is to challenge without overwhelming. My sessions are customizable to individual needs with one except—I will always provide feedback. I also hold myself to high standards, so I will occasionally ask for feedback with the intent to incorporate a student’s learning style into my teaching methods. I try to be flexible with my time. While I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy, I do offer make-up classes. I look forward to helping you achieve success.

Hobbies
I am intrigued by the human mind and how one perceives; therefore, I make a lot of time for reading in the field of psychology and philosophy. This has been especially instrumental in my aim to help clients write cohesive and reflective essays. My analytic mind also enjoys practicing amateur fencing, where I get to anticipate my opponents moves.
