Education

I am a junior majoring in sociology and psychology at New York University. I do, however, have a strong background in the natural sciences as I initially began university with the intention of studying in neural science. Interests change and develop! Through tutoring, I hope to encourage students to take interest in various subjects of study and discover their passions.

Experience

I have tutored for two years in math, English, and various other subjects such as chemistry and test prep. I love tutoring because I am able to support students outside of the classroom and engage them on a personal level. I try to keep my rates as low as possible in order to offer affordable tutoring for all students. Other interactive positions I have held include teaching a cooking class for middle school youth, working as an editorial intern with a publishing company, and interning in the adult education department of a nonprofit organization.

I have a new passion for cross-stitching. I also love to cook and bake. If I had a piano, I'd play all of my favorite tunes from my childhood. I am looking to go into a graduate program in social work after I complete my undergraduate coursework. I am interested in mental health, counseling, and program development in nonprofit settings and I hope to work for organizations that support underserved communities and immigrant communities!
