Education
I just finished my physics degree at UC Berkeley this past spring with a GPA of 3.8. I moved to New York to study contemporary dance. I'll have a double major in math as soon as I can take the one remaining course I have to finish the major. Before college, I grew up and attended high school in Berkeley California, where I graduated from high school with an unweighted GPA of 4.0.
Experience
I tutored a number of students in a number of different classes throughout high school and college, including Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, calculus, physics for life scientists, mechanics, thermodynamics, and electromagnetism. Back in high school, I got a score of 5 on the AP Calculus BC and Physics tests, as well as a math subscore of 35 of the ACT and an 800 on the SAT II in math. I really enjoy these subjects, and love helping people better understand them. I believe anyone can do well in any math or physics class given the right strategy, and I want to help you find that strategy. Math and physics teach a very powerful way of problem-solving, and I've found that teaching that to someone who might not naturally see the world that way gives me new insights into how I approach problems.

Hobbies
I've always loved movement arts, and in addition to studying dance, I also do yoga, Capoeira (an afro-Brazilian acrobatic martial art), and enjoy hiking and biking. I also love cooking, and make an effort to try a new recipe every few days. Lately I've been experimenting a lot with lentils, since they're an inexpensive, healthy, complete protein when combined with rice (although I've heard the theory of pairing incomplete plant proteins is loosing credibility).
