Education
Binghamton University: BA Anthropology and Sociology (3.3) New School: MA International Affairs: Expected May 2012 (3.55)
Experience
I am currently a second year masters student of international affairs at the New School. I am spending this summer in Nepal conducting research and interning part time at a human rights organization. I am living with a host family in Kathmandu which has provided as a great learning experience beyond the classroom and books. Through my experiences travelling and studying, I have learned the importance of education and the tools it can really provide every individual. I fully believe, however, that education extends beyond the classroom, beyond textbooks. While grades are important, my goal is to help students look beyond grades and learn to their full potential and realize that their individual interests are important and education can help them fulfill any goals they may have.
