Experience
I am eager to help you master your science courses! I am a clinical research assistant, and my current project involves testing a weight medication to see how it affects a person's metabolism and cardiovascular system. I have a bachelor's degree in Biology that I earned at Gettysburg College just a few years ago. While working toward my bachelor's degree, I took many science courses, including cell biology, organic chemistry, general chemistry, and physics. After obtaining my B.S., I then made the move to New York City to attend the Columbia University Institute of Human Nutrition. There, I worked to earn my master's degree in Nutrition, although I confess I still enjoy eating an occasional meal at a fast food restaurant. I tutor a wide variety of science courses, including basic science, anatomy, biology, microbiology, biochemistry, ecology, chemistry, and many others. I can also help students prepare for tests, including the SAT, MCAT, and GRE, especially the science-related portions of the tests. When I have free time, I enjoy snowboarding in Vermont, often at Okemo Mountain. While in New York City, I enjoy running in the Hudson River Park and trying new Thai restaurants. In addition, I love when I get the opportunity to travel and experience new places.
