ExperienceTutored all ages (K-12, college) in biology, physiology, algebra as well as literature and writing.
I studied Neurobiology, Physiology and French Composition.
In college (in addition to tutoring the sciences) I also instructed students on how to write the standard 5-paragraph essay and explained aspects in creative writing with an interpretation of literary works. I am very familiar with how to craft interesting ideas, a thesis, smooth transitions and topic sentences.
While studying abroad in Grenoble, France I was a teaching assistant and translator to students grades 6-12.
I also worked for 3 years as a laboratory technician in Pathology at UCLA Medical Center and am familiar with terminology related to exams such as the MCAT.
Currently, I am in New York doing tutoring for middle/high school/college students as well as freelance proofreading/editing for publishing companies.
HobbiesI enjoy reading, writing poetry, playing guitar, ballet, cooking healthy meals, and having great conversations.
