I'm a tutor who is currently based in New York City, where I enjoy watching movies, bowling, and exploring parks and museums when I'm not working with students. I have my bachelor's degree in computer science from Regis University, where I graduated with honors. I've spent the past few years working as a software developer and I'm now pursuing my graduate degree in speech pathology. I have a strong base of knowledge in both math and science. I'm especially passionate about teaching students algebra, pre-calculus, and helping them prepare to take the SAT. I like to break the lessons I teach my students down into bite-sized pieces, making sure that the student grasps each piece before I move on to the next one. I love the tutoring process. There's nothing quite like the feeling I get when a student's face lights up because they've finally mastered something that they've been struggling with for awhile. Education has given me opportunities that I never would have dreamed of having. I want to help other students create similar opportunities to the ones I've been fortunate enough to get through education. I believe in a collaborative tutoring approach between the students and myself, and I really enjoy getting to know the person behind the student.
