Education
Biological and Environmental Engineering BS '10, Cornell University
Experience
I chose to take the SAT as a 9th grade and received 1410 as my score, which I decided was good enough to apply to an Ivy League school, and was indeed accepted into one of the hardest engineering programs in the world (Cornell BEE is ranked #2). I enjoy teaching and always prepare myself beforehand with the proper material and background reading. Each student is different, so I spend time creating and organizing material that is best suited to the specific needs of the student. Cornell Engineering offers a rigorous overview of all the pillars of mathematics-from differential equations to linear algebra, everything is covered. On top of the basic courses that lasted for two years, I have specialized in various areas, such as theoretical and applied mathematics. I currently do research on the power grid and am funded by Verizon Wireless. I am going to make a home that controls all the appliances to make them more energy efficient and interactive--for example, you will be able to use your iPhone to turn on and off your lights!

Hobbies
I play a lot of soccer, squash, and tennis, and have been biking through the streets of New York. When I'm outside of the city, I enjoy hiking and rock climbing. I'm teaching myself how to cook various cuisines, play the trumpet (mostly jazz through HS and college), am getting into philosophy (starting with Kant), and am always planning for my next big adventure (last one was hiking in Idyllwild, CA with my friends!).
